Robert James “Smitty” Smith, 64, of White Sulfer Springs, West Virginia passed away August 15, 2016 unexpectedly at Greenville Medical Center, Lewisburg, West Virginia. He was born August 17, 1951 at Ashland Hospital, a son of the late Elwood B. and Anna Mae (Budner) Smith.
He graduated from Bloomsburg High School and then worked at Keller Wholesale, Bloomsburg, Woolworth, Ideal Sporting Good Products, and Hajoca as a delivery driver. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping.
Robert is survived by his sister Edith Ann Miller and husband Gene, and brother Brian L. Smith and wife Lori A. (Hess) all of Catawissa, two nephews Dana R. Seibert and wife Janelle of Mifflinville, Nathan Smith of Catawissa, and two nieces Dr. Michaelene Bardo and husband Jason of St. Joseph, MO, and Lauren Smith of Catawissa.
Services will be Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Dwayne Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until time of service.
