Robert "Butch" James Hartman II.

Robert "Butch" James Hartman II., 75, of Catawissa passed away Thursday January 27, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born September 8, 1946 in Catawissa, a son of the late Robert J. and Reta Elizabeth (Goodwin) Hartman. 

He graduated from Southern Columbia High School and then served in the US Army from 1967-1971.  Robert worked at Penndot for 30 years and also worked security at the Bloomsburg Fair for many years. He was a member of Catawissa American Legion, and Catawissa Hose Co #1 where he was Captain of the Catawissa Fire Police. He was a Cub Scout leader for Troop 62. 

Robert is survived by five nieces and nephews; Marc Williams of Catawissa, Jason Williams of Bloomsburg, Shane Hartman of Bloomsburg, Nichole Reisinger of Bloomsburg, Desiree Runkle of Bloomsburg, his brother Robert "Goldie" Traugh and wife Kathy of Buckhorn, a first cousin, Mary Ellen Lehman and husband Rick, of Bethlehem, PA and several cousins in South Carolina. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Thomas Eugene Hartman and sister Terry Jean Williams. 

Services will be Friday February 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Pastor Chuck Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Hillside Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.   

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Catawissa Hose Co. #1, 400 South St, Catawissa, PA 17820.
