Rosanne Marie (Polokowski) Bowes

Rosanne Polokowski Bowes, age 76, passed away peacefully January 31, 2020.  She was born September 30, 1943 in Catawissa, Pennsylvania to Helen and Joseph Polokowski.  She was married for 53 year to Roy Bowes until he preceded her in death in 2018. 

Rosanne worked at Milco Industries until her and Roy moved to Johnstown, NY in the early 1990’s. They returned home to the Bloomsburg area to be closer to family.  She was a devoted and beloved mother and grandmother with a sense of humor and strength of spirit that will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Rosanne is survived by her daughter, Lori McDevitt and her partner Louis Vassil, of Doylestown; son, Wade M. Bowes and wife Joy, of Richmond, VA; grandchildren: Erin, Katie, Joshua, Hunter, Margaret and Elizabeth; as well as her sister, Janice Hoffman of Turbotville; brother, Charles Polokowski and wife Jane of Catawissa; sister-in-law, Sandra Bowes of Bloomsburg; brother-in-law, Daniel Bowes of Bloomsburg; sister-in-law Nancy Hendricks and husband William, of Catawissa, and many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Rd. Catawissa, with Father Denis Dalessandro officiating.  Burial will be at Elan Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.  Family and friends may send condolences at www.allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
