Ruth E Hendricks

Ruth E. Hendricks 91, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday December 28, 2021, at her residence.

She was born February 21, 1930, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Ross and Martha (Whitenight) Roeder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald L Hendricks on September 11, 1998, a son Dennis L. Hendricks, grandson Thomas Hendricks and four brothers; Eugene, John, Carl, and Glen Roeder.
Ruth graduated from Catawissa High School. She worked for Bloomsburg Hospital in housekeeping and as a seamstress in Catawissa. She was a life member of the St Johns Community Church in Catawissa where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years. Ruth enjoyed sewing, and doing jig saw puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and especially her children.

She is survived by her five children; David L. Hendricks and his wife Vicki, Doyle Hendricks and his wife Tammy of Catawissa, Elaine Fry and her husband Jeffery, Willa Grausam and her husband Gregory of Danville, Susan Shields her husband David of Catawissa, and daughter in-law Diane Hendricks of Benton, eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

 Services will be Friday December 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Rd Catawissa with her Pastor Charles Swank officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
