Scott M. Welkom, 54, of Catawissa passed away Friday September 8, 2017. He was born October 12, 1962 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Michael and Lydia (Becker) Welkom.
He graduated from Southern Columbia High School class of 1981, and then worked on his farm. He formerly worked at Bloom Mills, Catawissa Lumber, and last at TRW before continuing his career as a self-employed farmer. Scott enjoyed going to the drag strip, classic cars, music, tinkering on cars and farm equipment.
Scott is survived by his wife the former Patricia Carl, and two daughters; Amber M. Welkom of Catawissa, Melissa A. Welkom and fiancée Joshua T. Runge of Catawissa, and his best friend his dog Chloe.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Linda M. Welkom.
Services will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Father Dennis Dalessandro officiating.
