Sharon Lea (Oetter) Gregorowicz

Sharon Lea Gregorowicz, 58, of Catawissa passed away November 3, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born February 1, 1958 in Frederick, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charles and Christie (Ward) Oetter Sr.

She graduated from Francis Scott Key High School and received her associate’s degree from Hagerstown Community College. Sharon served active duty in the United States Army for 21 years where she was Sergeant First Class. She met her loving husband in 1987 where they both were stationed at Camp David Presidential Retreat, where she worked for the White House Communication Agency. Sharon was stationed all over the world while in the Army. She worked for Presidents Reagan, Bush, and Clinton. Presently Sharon worked for SCI Coal Township. Sharon enjoyed yard sales, going to thrift stores, gardening, planting flowers, and listening to Alan Jackson. She loved to travel with her husband, and going on cruises. Sharon loved her beagle, Star. Although Sharon had many friends and hobbies, the loves of her life were her husband John, and their two sons Johnnie and Matthew. They were her entire world. Their home is full of love and laughter. Nothing mattered more to her in life than family.

Sharon is survived by her husband John, whom she married May 14, 1988, two sons; John Jr. and Matthew, both of Catawissa, three brothers; Larry Ward and Charles Oetter Jr. of Louisiana, and Jeffrey Oetter of Germany.

Sharon was preceded in death by a brother Dennis, in January 2016.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 9, 2016 at 3:30 pm at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa with Rev. Aaron Duncan officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service.
