Shirley A. Rarig, 79, of Catawissa passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
She was born January 2, 1939 in Muncy, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Pettit) Houseknecht.
Shirley graduated from Montgomery High School. She worked at Magee Carpet Company and enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Tiffany Coup.
Shirley is survived by her husband Jay S. Rarig with whom she married April 25, 1981 and a son William Yeagle of Bloomsburg, four daughters Terri and her husband Dan Eck of Oval, Anna Snyder of Numidia, Cathy and her husband Ray Lynn Votaw of Bloomsburg and LeAnn and her husband Donnie Roeder of Fisherdale, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters Ida and her husband Bud Yunkin of Dewart and Juanita Cuddmack of Muncy.
