His legacy continues through five grandchildren: Cameron Williams, Whitney Williams, Shane MacMahon, wife, Megan Butterworth, Darin Kennedy, and Morgan MacMahon; and three cherished great-grandchildren: including Isla MacMahon, Micah Jones, and Daisy MacMahon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eunice (French) Williams; two brothers: Robert Williams, Barry Williams; and sister, Martha Williams.
A graduate of Hallstead High School, Class of 1951, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Mansfield State Teachers College and a Master’s degree in Public School Administration from Bucknell University.
His life was dedicated to education, music, and service. He spent more than 30 years as the band and choral director at Southern Columbia Area School District, from 1958 until his retirement in 1989. He also served as the choir director at Elysburg Methodist Church for over 15 years.
