Stanley D Levan

Stanley D. Levan, 72, passed away on Aug. 8, 2024, at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born April 8, 1952, to the late Donald and Elsie (Miller) Levan.

He was raised on a little farm on Mountain Road and lived there until the time of his illness in 2022. He was a graduate of Southern Columbia High School and was an Army veteran. Stanley’s favorite pastime was racing his 1970 Vega at Numidia Raceway. His car was his pride and joy. He enjoyed going to the track to keep in touch with his racing buddies. He enjoyed going to farm markets and going out for breakfast. Stanley collected antique model trains that he displayed at Christmas for many years.

Stanley’s survivors include cousins, friends, and his cat, Chevy.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
