Sue Marie (Lindemuth) Shellenberger

Sue Marie Shellenberger, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Catawissa, Pennsylvania.

Born on January 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Frances (Bucher) Lindemuth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Herman Leo Shellenberger, whom she married on December 1, 1962, a son, David Bisset, and a brother, Dean Lindemuth.

Sue graduated from Catawissa High School in 1950. She was a natural caregiver, focusing her time on homemaking, cooking large meals, and raising her family. In addition, Sue spent several years babysitting local children, many of whom remember her fondly. Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the birds from her porch, tending to her yard and flowers, and loved caring for many dogs in her lifetime.

Sue is survived by her children, Dale Bisset (and Lisa Day) of Danville, PA, Kevin (and Stacy) Bisset of Cheyenne, WY, Lori Pensyl (and James) of Slabtown, PA, Gordon Shellenberger (and Ginger) of Elysburg, PA, as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, PA 17820, are handling the arrangements.
