Susan K. Stellfox, 57, of Catawissa passed away Monday September 7, 2015 at her residence after a long battle with cancer.
She was born April 9, 1958 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Max E. and Lillian (Probst) Hippenstiel.
Susan graduated from Benton High School in 1976. She was employed by Geisinger Health Systerm for the past 36 years. She enjoyed collecting antiques, doing arts and crafts which she inherited from her mother, and spending time with her grandchildren. Susan was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister to all she loved.
Susan is survived by her husband David, with whom she married May 29, 1982, and two daughters; Kathryn Rogers and husband Ryan of Springfield, PA and Erin Stellfox and fiancé Ryan McCarthy of Brookhaven, PA, and three grandchildren; Ryley, Stella, and Logan Rogers. As well as two brothers Robert Hippenstiel and wife Kathy of Montoursville, and Stephen Hippenstiel and wife Sally of Bendertown, two brother in-laws William Stellfox of Springfield, PA, and Curt Stellfox of Catawissa, a sister in-law Vera Stellfox of Catawissa, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother Dave Hippenstiel, in-laws William and Charlotte (Breech) Stellfox, and a brother in-law Terry Stellfox.
Services will be Saturday September 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church, 42 Ringtown Mountain Rd, Catawissa, PA 17820 with Pastor Chris Dunlap officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com. The Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa is handling arrangements.
