Walter J King

Walter J. King, 89, of Catawissa passed away Sunday March 21, 2021 at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born January 9, 1932 in Paterson, New Jersey, a son of the late Walter and Josephine (Sidlak) King.

He graduated from high school in Paterson New Jersey and then joined the National Guard for 12 years being honorably discharged April 11, 1959. He worked and retired for Bloomfield Police Department for 26 years. Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting, and wood working.

Walter is survived by his wife the former Lynne Campbell, whom he married August 23, 1986, three sons; Garrett King wife Morgan of New Jersey, Edward Casson wife Gwen of New Jersey, Jon Casson wife GeorgJean of New Jersey, two daughters; Danielle King husband Justin of New York, and Jennifer Persinger husband Steve of Pennsylvania. As well as 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Martin Gregorowicz wife Minnie of New Jersey, and sister Margaret of New Jersey.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents as well as sister Bertha, two brothers; Joseph King and Stanley Gregorowicz, niece Louise, and twin great-grandsons Ethan and Liam Casson.
