William V. Krasiewski, 90, of Catawissa passed away Thursday August 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1928 in Numidia, a son of the late Anthony and Frances (Zaleski) Krasiewski.
He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School class of 1946 and then received his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Slabtown, and Catawissa American Legion Post #541. He enjoyed golfing, Red Tornado Football, traveling. Bill liked bowling, where he met his wife Sylvia. Bill worked at Savannah Nuclear Plant in Atlanta, GA, as a nuclear engineer.
Bill is survived by his wife the former Sylvia Tanner who he married August 30, 2008, two daughters Janet Erb, and Mrs. Lorraine Presley, both of Catawissa, and grandson Daniel Joseph William Erb and his wife Tina.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his first wife Thelma Brokenshire Krasiewski, who passed away February 27, 2001. Bill was the last surviving member of eleven children.
Graveside services will be Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 11:00 am at Our Lady or Mercy Cemetery, 304 Slabtown Road, Catawissa with Rev. Dennis Dalessandro officiating. Family and friends may send online condolences to allenrhornefuneralhome.com.
