William Charles Rice

William Charles Rice, 50, of Catawissa, went to be with the Lord, Thursday March 4, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 2, 1970, in Bloomsburg, a son of William H. Rice Jr. of Catawissa and the late Virginia Lee (Roberts) Rice who passed on December 19, 2018.

He graduated from Southern Columbia Area High School and Susquehanna University. William was a member of Elysburg Masonic Lodge 349, Williamsport Consistory and Berwick Bloomsburg R.A.C. His hobbies were doing research on trains, mainly steam trains, and Civil War History.

William is survived in addition to his father, by a sister Roberta A. Pickering, and her husband Robert W. Pickering of Lewisburg, and a niece, Jiali Pickering.

Services will be held Tuesday March 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Rd. Catawissa Pa. 17820, with Rev. Gretchen Johanson officiating, burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service. The Funeral Home will be following CDC guidelines with masks and limited allowances of people in the Funeral Home.
