Yvonne M (Dent) Hess

Yvonne M. Hess, 69, of Bloomsburg passed away Saturday June 4, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born June 15, 1952 in Bloomsburg, daughter of the late Arthur W and Norma Irene (Applegate) Dent.

She graduated from Southern Columbia High School, Class of 1970. She began her life-long mission of caring for the elderly at Maple Crest Nursing Home as a Nurses' Aide. She also was employed as an Aide at Grandview Nursing Home and Bloomsburg Health Care Center. She worked for Milco Industries, and most recently in Laundry Services for Bloomsburg Health Care Center. Yvonne's life mission had always been to take care of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and particularly the elderly.  She loved her family dearly, and cared for both of her parents at home up until their passing. She was very fond of animals, especially her cats. She also had a life-long love of music. 
Yvonne was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Candace Conner on October 17, 2011. 

Yvonne is survived by her son Jason M. Hess of Bloomsburg, two grandchildren; Joseph Remaley of Bloomsburg, Samantha Remaley of Berwick, two great-grandchildren; Ariana Marie Remaley, Zane Alan Cool, and two brothers; Michael A. Dent of Catawissa, and Donald A. Dent and wife Ramona of Castorland, NY.

Graveside services will be held Friday June 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Esther Furnace Cemetery, Esther Furnace Road, Catawissa with Pastor Adam Miller officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10:00 am until time of service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Yvonne’s memory may be sent to the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa, PA, 17820 to help defray funeral expenses.
